A downloadable Hazard Haul for Windows

This is my first completely solo game project, created as part of a school assignment where every student had to develop a game entirely on their own.

We had 3 months to complete the project, alongside attending other courses at the same time. Considering the scope and constraints, I’m genuinely happy with what I managed to put together during that period.

This project taught me just how challenging solo game development really is from testing and balancing to game design and polish. Due to limited time, I mainly focused on programming, with less emphasis on extensive testing and design iterations.

Inputs:

  • Move: W A S D

  • Shoot: Left Mouse Button

You can unlock new weapons through level-ups as you progress. Each level gives you a chance to unlock a new gun.

  • 1 – Pistol

  • 2 – Raygun

  • 3 – Rifle

  • 4 – Launcher

  • Making a game completely solo is way harder than it looks.

  • Testing, balancing, and polishing take a lot more time than expected.

  • You can never do everything you want priorities what matters.

  • Three months go by very fast when you’re doing everything yourself.
